The Tyndall Effect

A new album on the Métier label brings together six of my recent works inspired by the life and work of John Tyndall (1820-93), the eminent scientist, cartographer, explorer and poet who was born in my home town of Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow.

Alongside the CD, a documentary is in preparation relating the music to Tyndall’s life, in particular his early education at Ballinabranagh School, where he came under the influence of the inspirational teacher John Conwill.
